Mr. Hordes has been a partner in the law firm of Schwartz Manes Ruby & Slovin since 1988, as the Chairman of the firm's Employment Law Department. Mr. Hordes represents employers in all aspects of Employment law, including, Discrimination and Harassment Claims, union management relations, Grievance and Arbitration, and Worker's Compensation.Mr. Hordes is licensed to practice in federal and state courts throughout Ohio and the District of Columbia. He practices before the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and other federal and state administrative agencies. Mr. Hordes also assists companies in the development of comprehensive employment personnel policies such as Employee Handbooks, Employment Agreements and Severance Agreements. He has also lectured frequently throughout Southwest Ohio on a wide variety of employment law topics. Mr. Hordes has been in private practice in Cincinnati since 1981. Prior to that time, he was an attorney for the National Labor Relations Board for nine years, first in Washington D.C. and later as a trial attorney in the Cincinnati Regional office.
